Johnny Silverhand is back! Cyberpunk 2077 developer and publisher CD Projekt Red aired an all-new batch of the Night City Wire format on Tuesday afternoon. This framework discussed not only the upcoming series Edgerunners, which premieres September 13 on Netflix, but also the future of role-playing itself.

After some new anime-based skins came out, some tech innovations were announced, such as a revision of the police and vehicle combat system, in-game wardrobe, cross-platform progression, and Roach Race minigame booths packed with gameplay, which is the game’s really big message to talk about in the community.

Cyberpunk DLC: Phantom Liberty is not for the old generation

Cyberpunk 2077’s first major expansion, called “Phantom Liberty,” will release next year, but it won’t appear for all platforms. Old consoles are left empty-handed, and new content can only be tried on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Phantom Liberty is supposed to play in a new area and it’s got its first teaser in which we can take some clues about the plot.

A quick trailer provided by game director Gabi Amatangelo provided a glimpse into the expansion and confirmed its title, Phantom Liberty:

“I, V, solemnly swear that I will faithfully serve the new United States of America.” These words can be found in the video description and also spoken by V personally in the humor of the Cyberpunk expansion. Like the scenes in the video, which only lasted 58 seconds, they imply that Phantom Liberty is a USA-inspired story.

CD Projekt Red introduces a whole new faction to the game, to follow their interests and goals. It will be interesting to see how you will interact with the existing factions. Amatangelo also confirmed the new characters in which V will experience new stories. Unfortunately, not much has been told about the plot yet, but the focus of the ongoing plot and new narrative threads should be on elements of espionage and thriller, as Johnny Silverhand returns to the screens in the person of Keanu Reeves.

Next year we can explore the new neighborhood of Night City on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S and Stadia.
