TTZ provides support for 2 years Gwensburg Regional companies in the subjects of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, thus ensuring productive knowledge transfer. With the approval of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Arts (StMWK) and with the support of the City and Region of Günzburg, the Research and Transformation Institute of the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) can now go to the next round: The center’s start-up funding and the existing rental agreement at the VR-Bank Donau rooms will be extended -Mindel until 2025.
Secure location in the heart of Jonesburg
“An integral part of the successful further development of TTZ Günzburg is not least that the City of Günzburg continues to provide the most suitable buildings in the center of Günzburg. Fortunately, the region of Günzburg is involved in this matter, ”summarizes Mayor Gerhard Jörnig. “In this context, I extend special thanks to VR-Bank Donau-Mindel, which is a real cooperation partner in many respects.”
Green light to expand successful transportation activities
“This is a clear indication of the success of the Technology Center to date,” says HNU Vice-Chancellor Professor Silvia Schaffmeister. “More funding now gives the go-ahead to continue and expand technology transfer activities and continue to be a strong transfer partner for the region in the future.” After TTZ Günzburg started in the pandemic year 2020 and was unable to act immediately as planned due to restrictions, the extension now makes important security planning possible.
TTZ Günzburg must continue to grow
For the medium-term future, the Technology Transfer Center plans to increase its staff in particular. “Secured funding enables us to deploy additional research and development staff,” explains TTZ Director Professor Philipp Brun. In this way, additional planned research projects can be carried out and cooperation projects with local companies can be expanded in a targeted manner in the future. (From A to Z)
