Electronic gaming organization Complexity Gaming announced that it has renewed its partnership with the US Army for the fifth year in a row. The deal, which will see the duo continue to work together across a range of tournaments and activations, will be replaced by the Soldier Showdown event, which returns next month.
The tournament, which returns on May 6th, will be split into three divisions, with the first being for MultiVersus in May, followed by Rocket League in July and finally Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 in September. The highest-ranked players will travel to Complexity’s headquarters for a final live event in November.
“In the last four episodes of Soldier Showdown, we’ve seen how friendly competition and community building can strengthen the bonds between our Soldiers,” said Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare, Complexity’s parent organization. “We are incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with the US Army and look forward to expanding our partnership to have a positive impact on those who serve.”
There is no mention of the financial implications of this extension.
