Complaints about cashless payments during the first day of the Jazz Festival
Sunshine and blue skies on the first day of the Jazz Festival, but payment problems led many to sing blue
Kicking off Friday, day one of the 2023 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, festival-goers received sunshine and blue skies. However, the newly implemented cashless payment system had many people singing the blues, and people who spoke with WDSU said queues remained long for food and drink because of the slow checkout process. Many reported that this was what vendors had across the festival grounds. WDSU is still awaiting a response from festival organizers.
