Sometimes, there are moments when I think I've been in a situation before. Classic déjà vu. Although I'm not sure anymore when I will receive another message from Commander Carla. Do these memory illusions really exist or are we all trapped in time loops? Maybe Professor Nix is behind it? In the end, he tries to dig into an underground time stream. I was so sure I would follow him Chrono Cops: Einstein's Crisis of Relativity They got the job done.
Chrono Cops: Da Vinci's Universal Dilemma – Back in Time
So I set the table back up and lay out the large, colorful cards in front of me, divided into twelve timelines. Next to them I place the smaller cards, the time decorator, the four answer cards, and the twelve time balls. But unlike last time, I can start time traveling right away because I've already read the rules Einstein's crisis of relativity a favour. In the second part of the Chrono Cops adventure game series by Martin Kallenborn and Matthias Prinz, a mad professor continues to cause mischief in order to gain ultimate power.
The request has been accepted
This time too I start the Gemini timeline and go to Milan, where I meet Leonardo da Vinci face to face. He asks me for a favor that I cannot refuse. I start looking for things he needs. Hoping that I can outsmart Nyx this time, I jump back and forth in time and open one timeline after another. I meet well-known characters, combine different things with each other and try to outsmart the Kronx created by the professor. A little over 90 minutes later I stand before Commander Carla, exhausted but satisfied. I have once again managed to stop my opponent's evil plans. The only question that remains is for how long…
Da Vinci's Universal Dilemma is a real adventure
“Oh!” I thought with relief as I put the game materials back into the box. Chrono Cops: Da Vinci's Universal Dilemma adventure was quite challenging in places. Although I was able to solve everything in the end and put the individual pieces of the puzzle together correctly, it was very difficult at times. Immediately after my adventure, I could no longer tell whether it was because of the many jumps in time or because of the puzzles. Because despite all the thinking, the fun factor prevailed in this adventure game.
With a wink
What I loved about the first part of this game series also resonates in this adventure. I love Volko Strese's illustrations, the absurdity of the story, and the humor that runs through the time travel. The whole matter should be looked at with a wink and should not be taken too seriously. Those who move forward courageously and accept the changes in the past, present and future will achieve progress more easily. With logic and patience, Professor Nix's plan can be foiled.
Completely without the app
And I love that this tabletop point-and-click adventure doesn't require an app. Combining cards using a chrono decoder is a great idea and works very well. I expected a little more from the help system. Because if you really have a problem, here you will only find advice, but no solutions. In Chrono Cops: Da Vinci's Universal Dilemma, sometimes the only way out of a dead end is to screw yourself up.
Da Vinci's Universal Dilemma is highly recommended
Da Vinci's Universal Dilemma is a fantastic sequel to Pegasus Spiele's ChronoCops game series. Anyone who actually helped Einstein during the crisis can travel more extensively through time here. Since no cards or other playing materials are destroyed in this game, it can also be easily passed on to other adventurous people who are in the mood for a little déjà vu.
