I think most of us are here at the edge We can agree that if we were famous celebrities Some of the highest-grossing films of all timeWe are always influenced by the latest and greatest technology. Seems that’s not how Chris Evans, a star Light year And the Avengersrolls – on June 23, 2022, posted a message on Twitter And the Instagram That he’s finally upgrading his phone: “RIP iPhone 6S,” he said. “We had a good start.”
Evan says in his posts that he will miss the 2015 device’s home button – a photo he posted shows him upgrading what appears to be an iPhone 13 Pro – but not the fact that it was a “night battle” trying to get the 6S to charge. (In the comments of Evan’s Instagram post, hidden characters And the onwards Actress Octavia Spencer says she’s also switched to a phone without a home button.) He also mentioned that you won’t miss the lovely photos from the 6S’ 12MP camera – you can see examples of that All During for him Instagram page.
To be clear, this post isn’t at all shying Evans for owning an old phone — in fact, I’d argue 6S is the best phone Apple has ever made, perfect carrying capacity, headphone jack, 2nd generation Touch ID. I have nothing but respect for Evans for continuing to use it. However, maybe it’s time for an upgrade; Apple recently announced the next version of iOS Will not support 6S, which continued to receive software updates for seven years. Plus, the 6S didn’t have wireless charging, which means when the Lightning port starts to get damaged, you’re out of luck.
Fortunately, Evans’ new phone will almost certainly support wireless charging. Maybe he can make this last longer.
Note: I find it very funny Evans Shine on Apple TV In 2020 however keep using the 6s after that. Ted Lasso Actor Jason Sudeikis said that Apple Gave him a free pair of AirPods Max; I’m sure Evans could have cheated the iPhone XR or SE if he really wanted to. Talk about loyalty.
PPS: Spoiler alert, but remember that time Chris Evans had to use an Android phone Take out the knives Because Apple allegedly Movie villain won’t be allowed to use iPhone? cheerful.
Correction June 24, 1:47 PM ET: The original version of this article stated that Evans’ post was from June 25th. It was actually 23. We’re sorry for the error.
