He concluded, “It’s only two towers, they’re not exciting, they go across a bridge here, and TNT will fall, and the door will open… It’s boring in my opinion.” The YouTuber decided not to build the second structure, saying he didn’t want to waste his and the viewer’s time on a subpar structure.

AshnFlash also lamented that the other alternative buildings given in the building instructions for 21250 The Iron Golem’s Fortress were not included in the guide, as they look more elaborate and impressive than the 2D River Towers. Instructions for this aren’t included with the kit, though the pictures will likely help you figure out how to build it with a little trial and error.

Overall, however, the LEGO YouTuber loved the cat house itself, it introduced new items to the cats and offered an engaging building experience (provided you choose the right alternate build).
