The house is burning, smoke billows from the windows, and dogs bark. A siren sounds from afar, promising to rescue the trapped residents of the house. Firefighters armed with an ax and a water hose storm the building, while common sense advises them to flee. But there are still people and animals in the house. It is a race against time. Only with good coordination and courage can the victims be saved. After all, things get hot at Flash Point.

We open the way
In Flash Point, players take control of a firefighter who fearlessly enters a burning house. Good teamwork is a must because seven people have to be found and evacuated from the building. Only then is the task considered successful and everyone is allowed to pat each other’s shoulders, and rightly so. If four victims die in the fire or the building collapses, the mission will fail and the game is lost.
On high alert, brave emergency services enter the burning house. Flames are already licking at several randomly selected locations in the building. The doors were closed and the victims hung their faces in the rooms. However, there are also rivets below these markings, because in the dark chaos of the landscape, every corner must be carefully researched. Each player has four action points per turn. Up to four additional action points can be saved from previous moves, which must then be used as reasonably as possible.
Complete extinguishing of the fire sign requires two action points, since only one point is triggered on the smoke side. Moving to perpendicular fields costs 1 point. Moving objects and victims or crossing a burning field burns two points. Where there is no way, the ax clears the way. Doors and even walls can be broken down in a sustainable and time consuming way. In any case, the road is free, but it weakens the stability of ownership.
After each move, fire is spread randomly using two dice. For this purpose, the house is divided into a coordinate system. Fire transforms nearby smoke symbols into fire. If one of the selected fields is already on fire, an explosion occurs. The four neighboring fields caught fire, doors were blown out, and walls sustained structural damage. If the fields affected by the explosion are already on fire, the effect continues until the end of this row. A small fire can quickly turn into an inferno. Any help for the victims in the burning fields comes too late, the firefighters are taken out of the building and at the start of their next turn they find themselves outside the building in a medical field.
