“Eureka! It’s done!” We have succeeded in reconstructing dinosaur DNA and breeding dinosaurs. Now there is nothing standing in our way of becoming a big dinosaur business. In “Tiny Epic Dinosaurs” we build our own dinosaur farm on an island and we have to assert ourselves against the competition.

Little Epic Dinosaurs Test 000

Tiny Epic Dinosaurs is played over six rounds. Whoever has the most victory points at the end becomes the most successful goalkeeper in this round.

The game round is solved in several stages. In the first stage, all the resources are presented according to the symbols of each space on your farm card that is not occupied by a dinosaur. Resources are plants, meat and supply codes.

Then followed by the second stage. Here you can use your guards in turn to perform the action associated with the field. Possible options are to get dinosaurs, move, buy fences, collect resources, sell dinosaurs or get quest cards. Some spaces also have a cost associated with them that must be paid when placing a guard there. Occupied fields can be used by placing one guard on the field more than is already there. The main guard is a special feature, as it is considered two guards.

Once all your guards are placed, the dinosaurs and fences obtained during the transformation phase of the farm can be used. Dinosaurs can also be moved, but fences cannot. Fences are important to ensure that the dinosaurs do not immediately flee and separate the different species from each other.

Now the dinosaurs have to be fed and in the next stage, the dinosaurs will have offspring if there are identical dinosaurs sitting together in a cage. This additional dinosaur will be placed in the same cage.

If it happens that the dinosaur is not housed properly or cannot be fed, it will run away. Herbivores destroy the fence while escaping. Carnivores eat another dinosaur while escaping.

At the last stage of the tour, things are cleaned up. The contract cards are filled, the remaining quest cards are discarded and three new cards are turned over and the round mark is presented with one space.

In addition to regular dinosaurs, there are also unique species obtained through quest cards, which are required for some mission cards, for example. They can also offer advantages during the game.

Final registration takes place after the sixth round. Now all points are counted together. Points are awarded for completed order cards, quest cards, and dinosaurs still on the farm. The player with the most points is the best goalkeeper and wins the game.

The single mode is played against Automa. Each of the four farms can be used as an automata and has its own characteristics, so there are four different modes of the auto available in single mode. Single mode works well and management efforts can be completely managed since the automa must detect and resolve the card. Automa also receives its score at the end and the outcome decides whether Automa or Ranger will win the game.

The current deluxe version of the game contains the Lab expansion, which adds four lab plans with new quest tokens and cards, as well as unique dinosaurs. Everyone has a tag they can use to navigate the lab. The selected paths from room to room are color-coded and at the beginning of each round a colored piece is assigned to each action column on the game board. If you are the first to do something in a column, you can take the stone and move it further in the lab depending on its color. There are rewards for this.
