The abandoned property of Vonleaken lies in front of you. Many scary stories are intertwined around this house – like weeds have spread everywhere. Long ago the little daughter Amelia disappeared without a trace. Her mother, Elizabeth, has not been the same since. You enter the house feeling nauseous. As you slowly look around, you notice that the doors are suddenly closing behind you. You have to solve the mystery of this house or you will never get out of it. “Amelia’s Secret: Escape from the Darkness” wants to combine Augmented Reality (AR) and escape rooms and bring it to your home. You can read here if this is a successful idea or rather something to be afraid of.

You are not alone here
Amelia’s Secret: Escape from the Darkness is a home escape room game. It targets 1-4 people aged 12 and over and takes 20 or 60 minutes to play. It is based on AR, which requires the free app. Using augmented reality, virtual items are displayed in your home.
Therefore, the structure of “Amelia’s Secret: Escape from Darkness” is different from the usual. Instead of setting up a game board, the existing cards are laid out according to the instructions and placed on a table or the like, or glued to walls, doors, etc. Nothing other than the app is required and you can get started right away.
After a short introduction, the puzzles begin. If the cards are now scanned using the app, the corresponding objects will appear and you can interact with them via your tablet or mobile phone. As usual for an escape room, it makes sense to take a first look at everything and get an overview. Gradually you will find connections, solutions or things needed for other puzzles and hopefully it will clear the whole thing up.
The objective of the game “Amelia’s Secret: Escape from the Darkness” is to solve all the puzzles, unveil the story, and escape from the scary house within the given time.
