Renewcell has successfully produced its first textile fibers at its new facility in Sundsvall, Sweden. The fiber material has been processed using the new Andritz ADuro technology to produce 100% pure melted pulp from textile waste. Renewcell customers can eventually create new garments with the resulting finished product.
Andritz has installed a complete textile fiber processing system based on cutting and separating technology. The heart of the system are the shredders of the ADuro product line, which shred old textiles in just one process step and thus process up to 60,000 tons of textile waste per year.
Renewal and Andretz have been partners since 2016.
