BlueStacks X arrives to bring mobile gaming to PC via streaming

This Thursday (30) BlueStacks X, a mobile game emulator that runs straight from the cloud, was launched in beta. The service eliminates waiting time for downloads and hardware requirements to run emulators, and provides an extensive catalog of games by streaming, just like xCloud and Google Stadia.

According to BlueStacks, there are more than 200 mobile titles planned for the catalog, with no waiting time and can be accessed directly from the web browser. Like other competitors in the streaming gaming sector, you don’t need a chunky PC to take advantage of the service, but a stable and fast internet is essential.

During testing, BlueStacks X will only have 14 titles available for streaming, among them Raid: Shadow LegendsAnd Disney Magician Arena NS Lords Mobile: Kingdom Wars – More games should be added over time.

The infrastructure is enhanced by now.gg, a company focused on building large streaming gaming systems. It is not known exactly which device is running the emulator apps via the cloud, but the platform promises to deliver 60 frames per second in the available games.

BlueStacks is now one of the most popular Android Emulators available for PC. BlueStacks 5, the latest version of the software, was released in May of this year with the promise of delivering “the next generation of Android gaming”.

Integration with discord

To accompany the announcement, BlueStacks introduced their new Cloudy software for Discord. The bot essentially integrates a server into the broadcast with links for quick sessions with the audience and “social” functions such as sharing game achievements in chat.

Free but with ads

It is not necessary to pay anything to enjoy the service, just create an account and start playing, but the user will find ads and ads throughout the experience. BlueStacks CEO Rosen Sharma claims that the ad appears during app startup, so it doesn’t interrupt gameplay.

In the future, the platform should also have subscription models, potentially providing a better experience – without ads and possibly exclusive games.

Mobile games on Xbox

Recently, the Xbox Series S and Series X received a (almost) full version of Microsoft Edge, the Chromium-based browser. In addition to making consoles more versatile (and desktop-like), the app is also compatible with BlueStacks X.

From the news show was Tom Warren, reporter for The Verge. In its demo, the experience appears to be very powerful, and just like on a PC, it can also be viewed in full screen mode.

BlueStacks X is now available in Brazil and you can learn about the emulator by streaming at official site. Simply play the games using the Google account associated with the installed browser for Android, iOS, macOS, Linux or Windows.
