Netflix wants to expand its gaming section significantly and plans to release one new game per month.

According to information provided to investors by Fortune, there are currently about 80 new games in development.

Starting in August 2024, Netflix plans to launch new games on a monthly basis. The focus is on “interactive and narrative games” based on Netflix brands and will be marketed under the “Netflix Stories” brand.

Over 100 games have already been released.

Netflix has now released over 100 games. However, the response among subscribers has been muted. Many users don’t even know that Netflix offers games at all, or see them as an add-on that isn’t the focus of the streaming service.

Netflix itself claims to have learned from previous publications which types of games are well-received by subscribers and which are less well-received. However, it remains to be seen whether this finding will be able to dispel many users’ skepticism towards Netflix’s gaming offering.
