Paysandu, like other Brazilian League teams, has faced uncertainty in recent years. Broadcasting tournament matches is always a question every season. Currently, the streaming platform owns the rights to the competition, but the contract expires at the end of this year.
With the new domestic team law – approved in 2021 – clubs can freely share their games with any broadcaster or even create a platform to display their matches. This is one of Paysandu’s future outputs.
– Since 2020, Paysandu has been organizing PapãoTV Play, and is preparing for it, from the moment no broadcaster wants to broadcast, the club has conditions. Today, our platform has more than 10,000 subscribers, with more than 1,000 subscribers – commented CEO of Marketing Marcone Barbosa.
The manager also highlights that bicolor has already broadcast other broadcasts, with content aimed at fans, showing the club in a different and unprecedented way.
– We’ve already been able to set up game events from the basic and training categories. PapãoTV Play is not a competitor to broadcasters, it is a platform aimed at fans. We were able to fetch and access more blocked scenes. We would like to increase the coverage of events in many other sports – concludes Marcon.
