As the Writers Guild of America strike continues into its third day, the jokes are no longer shown on late night television โ they’re picket lines.
More than 11,000 film and television writers have stopped working after contract negotiations between their union and the Film and Television Producers Alliance, the trade association representing Hollywood studios and production companies, foundered.

Since the strike began on Tuesday, hundreds of writers have picketed in the Los Angeles and New York area, outside the studios and offices of Netflix, NBCUniversal, Disney, Sony, Paramount, Warner Bros, and others.
