Buses with a police escort ferried thousands through traffic on the two-lane highway that leads to Ross’ property.

“Everything went very well considering the number of people and the little traffic we have here, and the reason is because he has put together a good team,” Sheriff Babb said.

Last year, Sharif Bab said the event lacked coordination with the governorate, leaving neighbors frustrated with the traffic and people standing on the roadsides.

“This year, they started making a lot of plans, and they listened to us, and we listened to them,” Bab said.

People were removed from nearby malls, and police stopped traffic for people living in nearby communities so they could move around more freely.

Bab said the paramedics had no problem getting in and out.

Some neighbors said it was very helpful and commended the police and Rick Ross’ team for doing as promised.
