ASUS has a new 23.8-inch monitor for PC gaming. The VG249QL3A monitor belongs to the company’s TUF Gaming series and uses an IPS panel with a Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution with a maximum frequency of 180 Hz, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 8-bit color depth, a typical brightness of 350. cd/m² and a response time of 1 ms ( gray to grey). The sRGB color space is covered by 99 percent.
The OSD includes GamePlus features such as crosshair overlays, fps display, and black stabilizer. Thanks to the adjustable variable speed drive, the overdrive speed drive is also dynamically adjusted, improving the impression of the moving picture. Meanwhile, G-Sync compatible FreeSync Premium and Adaptive Sync are responsible for tear-free gaming fun. Alternatively, ELMB (“Extra Low Motion Blur”) is a mode against motion picture blur.
Interface-wise, you’ll have to be content with two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2 port, and a headphone output. However, when it comes to ergonomics, no compromises are made, as tilt, swivel, height and pivot adjustment, VESA recording (100 x 100mm), blue light filtering and flicker-free backlight are represented. If desired, two internal speakers can be used as sound sources, although each is weakened by 2 watts.
the Asus TUF Gaming VG249QL3A It weighs 3.4 kg without the stand and is expected to be available in Germany from the fourth quarter of 2023. The manufacturer told us the latter when we asked.
