Well crowned voice
When the first Astro A50 was released in 2011, the high-end headset cost €300. At the beginning of 2024, the youngest member of the series will come under our inspection, now under the wing of parent company Logitech. The new Astro A50X comes with some exciting features, including two HDMI ports with which you can connect Xbox and Playstation simultaneously and easily switch with the push of a button on the wireless headset using the Playsync function – including your TV. The headset replaces the handle for the remote control.
A hobby, not just a game
This Switch isn't designed for PC, but you can of course also use the Astro A50X on your home computer. You can also connect the dual wireless headphone to your PS5, XBox and PC at the same time via the charging station (with monitor), moreover, connect your smartphone via Bluetooth and mix the BT signal with your gaming audio. The Astro A50X also has a very powerful parametric equalizer, which allows you to fine-tune the sound compared to standard graphic equalizers. Surround sound is available via the included Dolby Atmos license. The microphone records sound in the full spectrum, the audio is transmitted uncompressed and in full 24-bit/48kHz (PC and console up to 2x 16-bit/48kHz) and sounds very punchy, especially for wireless headphones. The Astro A50X also features an open-back design, another emerging trend in gaming headsets.
