“iPhone 16 Pro” without SIM is reserved in the Apple Store. I am so grateful that an item that was scheduled to be delivered between October 2nd and 9th suddenly ended up being delivered on September 27th. You've arrived just in time for this series.
This is the iPhone 16 Pro… although it doesn't look much different from the previous model. However, in the iPhone 15 Pro, only the Max model had a 5x telephoto camera (iPhone 15 Pro has a 3x telephoto camera), while the iPhone 16 Pro has a 5x telephoto camera in both the Pro and Pro Max. That's why I chose the regular Pro model instead of the Pro Max this time.
The first photo I took was of course my cat. Although the room was not bright, I was able to get a nice, clear picture of her face.
Well, I decided I was going to try to take a lot of pictures of the cats, so I headed to the QUEUE cat rescue shelter. Then, there were a lot of healthy cats and they were making a fuss.
Check out the ultra-wide-angle camera to see how much buzz it made. Of the three cameras introduced this time, the ultra-wide-angle camera is definitely an improvement over the previous model. Since it has a 48MP sensor, the image quality (should) be much better. I would like to check that area.
A new addition to the iPhone 16 series is the “Camera Control” on the side.
This is the area you touch with your index finger. If you press hard, you can use the shutter to take a photo, and if you press gently and swipe left or right, you can change settings instantly. However, it can sometimes move unintentionally, so I think it's best to use it as a shutter until you get used to it.
The important thing is that there are now three shutter buttons.
One is the screen shutter button. The other thing is the traditional volume buttons (on the left side) and the new camera controls (on the right side).
Cats move freely, such as jumping on your lap, clinging to your side, clinging to the ground, or jumping on high places. What's more, if you think it's okay and turn forward to take a photo, the cat will also react and move, causing you to miss the photo opportunity.
In such cases, the best approach is to just gently extend your arm and take the photo without moving, but thanks to the addition of shutter buttons, you can now hold the camera in more ways. You may think you don't need these three items, but they are a blessing when you want to take acrobatic shots.
In this photo, there was a kitten inside the tunnel, so I gently extended my arm, turned my iPhone upside down, and used the camera controls to take the photo. When I see people, I react to them, so the trick is to take photos nicely.
Next, use the 5x telephoto and portrait mode. Close-up shot of him sitting on the floor.
Maybe it's just my imagination, but I feel the image quality is better than the 5x telephoto version of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
After taking so many photos, I ended up using the 2x telephoto lens the most. It's perfect for taking cat photos. You can take pictures of beautiful shapes, and you can take pictures with a good sense of distance.
The opening image is exactly like that. I crawled on the floor and took a picture of her sharp face. I didn't realize there was someone else behind me until I started crawling, but that couldn't help it. When you want to take a close-up photo of your face, it's a good idea to double up.
Finally, when I turned on my smartphone, there was a yellow-bellied tiger peeking out from its cage and asking, “What is this?”
It seemed like I was interested in the iPhone, so I approached it and suddenly a hand came out from inside the cage. It was a bit abrupt and out of focus, but I liked the raw look, so I used the new “Stark Black & White” photography technique to create a rough look to the black and white images.
By the way, it doesn't look like they were trying to attack, which is good.
Well, the iPhone 16 Pro has just arrived and I haven't been able to check it out in detail yet, but I feel like it's more stable as a camera and more mobile than a smartphone, so I'd like the cat to play with it in different ways.
