First, the expanded functionality of Xbox Cloud Gaming will be tested in the testing phase. From November onwards, only members of the Xbox Insider Program will initially have access, before the offer is expanded to include more games and broader audiences of Xbox customers at a later date.

Once support is created for additional games outside the Game Pass offer, it will be possible, among other things, to purchase an Xbox game via the app on an Android device and then also via the streaming system on that mobile device. .

Behind the now-awaited move lies the so-called xCloud project, which was introduced in 2020. The goal is to make almost all Xbox games usable via streaming on users' devices. This is exactly what was supposed to become possible with Xbox Cloud Gaming in 2022, but it seems like it took a few years longer until Microsoft was able to get close to the desired goal.

However, in some cases, some games will still be unavailable for streaming on Android devices. This is most likely due to licensing reasons or agreements with rights holders that make this distribution channel impossible.
