Thursday marked another frustrating day for air travel in the US, with hundreds of cancellations already in or out of the country.
FlightAware showed over 1,400 delays and 628 cancellations.
According to the flight tracking, American Airlines canceled 152 flights and delayed more than 200, United Airlines canceled 70 flights and delayed 123, and Delta Airlines canceled 48 and delayed 168.
This comes in the form of United Airlines said it would cut back About 50 flights depart daily this summer from Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey.

American Airlines ends service in three cities due to lack of pilots
In a note, the executive vice president and chief operating officer wrote in a note that the decision would help reduce delays and improve performance — even though it has aircraft, pilots, crews and staff to support the schedule there.
The change is effective from July 1, and only domestic flights will be affected.

It is estimated that more than 47 million people travel within at least 50 miles of their home over the weekend, an increase of 3.7% from last year.
However, the number of people traveling by air is expected to be the lowest since 2011.
