A 1989 package found destroyed by SLED was found in Laurens, officer says

On Saturday, a package was found in a storage shed on Clemson Street containing an unidentified liquid substance, according to Scott Franklin of the Laurens Police Department, and Franklin said the package had been recovered by SLED and destroyed off-site. Franklin said the storage shed has been around since 1989 and was found because family members vacated the shed after the family’s recent death.

Franklin said the package had apparently been in the storage shed since about 1989 and was found due to family members disinfecting the shed following the family’s recent death.
