Free on Steam: EzBench is based on Unreal Engine 5
If you own a really powerful gaming PC, you can also play existing games with maximum graphics settings and 4K resolution at solid frame rates. Both the best Nvidia and AMD models offer sufficient performance capabilities.
However, if you want to push your gaming PC to the limit, you can use benchmarking tools from 3DMark or FurMark. A new program has now appeared on Steam that is supposed to get the most out of your system: isbinch.
The tool, which is available for free, can be easily downloaded via Steam and occupies approximately 20 GB of your storage space. According to the text of the description The app is based on Unreal Engine 5 It uses some special features of the engine – such as Lumen (light calculations based on ray tracing) and Nanite.
This is what the free standard on Steam looks like:
A new standard that pushes gaming PCs to their limits
In the same standard, you can see a golden bird flying over a secluded island that looks like it’s in a cove. The scene is lit up in the evening sunset. Above all, the lighting effects of the standard are impressive – but that requires a lot of performance.
Video shows a system with Intel Core i9-12900K and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 – and even this achieves it on average Only 42 fps. Thanks to the use of 8K textures, this is also not surprising. On a system with the Ryzen 9 3900X and RTX 2080 SUPER, we measured an average of just 17.2 fps.
The developers recommend all users to At least one graphics card with 8GB VRAM to be installed in their system. Although the software is also supposed to run on less powerful systems, the standard appears to be turning into a small slideshow.
How does your computer work in the new standard? Feel free to post your score and system components in the comments.
