A Delta Boeing 737 makes an emergency landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

Minneapolis – A Delta Air Lines flight made an emergency landing Saturday night at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

According to a Delta spokesperson, Flight 1736 from Denver to Minneapolis “declined to a lower altitude out of an abundance of caution to evaluate a potential maintenance issue.”

The Boeing 737 landed safely and 13 minutes before scheduled time at MSP, According to FlightAware.com.

This is one of several incidents involving Boeing aircraft in the past few months, including the emergency landing of an Alaska Airlines flight in January after it crashed. The 737's door panel exploded mid-flight after departing Portland.

Saturday's emergency landing at MSP comes two days later Two Delta planes clipped their wings on one of their taxiways. No one was injured in this low-speed collision.
