Players are now required to take a self-test 12 hours before each match, the League of Clubs announced, in a statement on Friday, after a meeting with their medical advisor, Felipe Froes, and club doctors.
“All players, from Liga and Liga 2, now have, as a minimum requirement, self-tests that have been duly verified by the clinical officials of the clubs, and carried out 12 hours before the matches in question. If there is a positive case, they will have to confirm the result. By means of a rapid laboratory antigen test or polymerase chain reaction. Also note for teams participating in European competitions, which must respect the rules of the countries in which they will play”, the statement begins.

La Liga, the General Directorate of Health and the medical departments meet again next week to conduct a new assessment of the impact of the pandemic on national football.
