Sometimes stark sight, but not thickly applied

For review “Hysteria Doesn’t Help Neither” on musical theater production “Histries of the Macabre” By Eva-Maria Reuther (TV from 6 September):
The title of Eva-Maria Reuther’s review gets to a point – but only if it’s about politics. At the reception in the artistic sphere, I am open to any emotion and also love to engage in hysteria. With this openness, I experienced the evening as a win.
As a theater director, I have only limited competence to classify Ligeti’s work in terms of musicology, and therefore I find little in the way of concert performance.
But it was Ponko Karagov’s play and the pictures of Bodo Korsig that caught my eye. It was a show game in the best sense of the word, as I would like it to be: the artists did not emphasize Ligeti’s work with grandiose images and playful ideas, but rather harmoniously paint it. The projections align well with the game of our protagonists Eva-Maria Amann and Frauke Burg.
Yes, it was a glaring sight at times. But the application is too thick? No, because Ligeti’s work is very extreme, and therefore endures a severe flood of images.
