The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E just got sportier and more affordable

Ford is revamping its flagship electric vehicle, offering a better price and more efficient components, in an effort to maintain its position as America's second-best-selling electric vehicle. Say hello to the 2025 Mustang Mach-E.

Unlike the 2024 model, this year's Mach-E won't get a range increase, but fortunately it doesn't look like that will be necessary. Thanks to improved styling and some new technology, the updated Mach-E is likely to remain popular among buyers for years to come.

First and foremost, the 2025 Mustang Mach-E gets a standard heat pump, joining the F-150 Lightning Flash in the automaker's lineup. Heat pumps can keep batteries at an ideal temperature during the winter months, which helps with charging times, range, and performance. More electric vehicles are coming with Standard heat pumps When the automobile industry began to recognize its usefulness.

Ford has enhanced the exterior design with an all-new Sport Appearance Package that recalls key design cues from the GT version of its best-selling electric car. This includes a new front fascia and mesh shield, as well as red-painted Brembo-branded front brake calipers. Ford also fitted 19-inch monochromatic wheels painted in high-gloss black and black-painted door trim and wheel rims for good measure.

Inside, you'll find red stitching and sports pedals for an added sporty feel. Ford has added ventilated front seats as standard on premium Mach-E models. It replaced the center-mounted shifter with a column-mounted shifter to free up console space.

The latest version (1.5) of Ford's hands-free advanced driver assistance system, Blue Cruise, debuts with the 2025 Mach-E. The version adds Automatic Lane Change to its lineup, which Ford says will automate “up to 45% of lane changes on a mid-engined vehicle, based on internal testing.”

The system will change lanes “without driver input,” meaning it will initiate a lane change if the car in front of you is slower than the set speed or if the car is following too closely in your lane. BlueCruise will be available as a monthly or annual subscription for the 2025 Mustang Mach-E.

And the cherry on top is the new, less expensive price: $36,495, excluding incentives and tax credits. That's cheaper than the base Tesla Model Y, the best-selling electric car in the U.S. before the Mach-E, which starts at $44,490. This should help Ford maintain its position in the rankings – or perhaps even improve its ranking.
