Univision Town Halls with Donald Trump and Kamala Harris

There may or may not be another debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, but both candidates have agreed to appear in another high-profile television venue: town halls hosted by Spanish-language media giant TelevisaUnivision.

The media company says the Trump and Harris campaigns have agreed to hold public meetings next month. Trump’s public meetings (called “the main ones”) will be held. Latinos Ask…Donald Trump’s Response) is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8 at 10 p.m. and will be held in Miami, Florida. Harris Town Hall (Los Latinos Preguntan… Kamala Harris Responds) will take place on Thursday, October 10th at 10pm in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Televisa At point Broadcaster Enrique Acevedo will moderate both meetings, with an audience made up of undecided Hispanic voters.

Univision and its live streaming service ViX will broadcast the public meetings with Spanish subtitles, with the full English version available on the Noticias Univision YouTube channel.

“Noticias Univision serves as a two-way bridge: we bring every voice to our community while bringing Latinos’ concerns to those in power,” said Daniel Coronel, president of Noticias Univision, in a statement. “There are more than 36 million Hispanics eligible to vote in the United States, making them the largest minority in the country, and they have the power to influence the outcome of the race for the White House and the future of the nation.”

The Univision town halls are likely the closest voters will get to an unscheduled appearance by the candidates before the election, with no other debate certain. Harris has previously accepted a debate on CNN, while Trump appeared to reject another one after their first encounter.
