Guest review on Google shows an amusement park. This causes laughter on the internet. Misunderstanding?
Sierksdorf – With 4.5 out of a possible 5 stars on Google, Hansa Park in Sierksdorf in Schleswig-Holstein is doing well. Said to be one of the five largest and most popular parks in Germany, the Baltic Sea amusement park has 125 attractions on 46 hectares. According to its own statistics, the amusement park welcomed 1.4 million guests in 2016.
If you look at park reviews, you'll often find comments like: “Best park ever,” or: “Really great theme park with great roller coasters.” Every now and then, there's also a negative comment among the mostly positive reviews. This reads something like: “The food is overpriced and tastes terrible,” or: “Unfortunately, when we went to the restrooms we had to find them absolutely filthy.”
Google review of amusement park sparks laughter and anger: 'Please remove review'
Then again, there are reviews that are potentially positive, but don’t come across that way. Such a case is the comment of supposed guest “Baran El Nino,” who wrote a review on Google — and probably caused some laughter online.
“It was a great day,” Baran El Niño begins his review, “but unfortunately my daughter died on the big roller coaster.” He ends his post with the words, “There are still three stars because the food was great.” It’s possible to assume that Baran El Niño was expressing that his daughter died of fright, a very common saying. In any case, there are no reports of actual deaths at the park.
However, this comment prompted the operators themselves to take action. “But it was very misleadingly worded,” Hansa Park wrote. “Please change the wording or remove the review.”
“Wow, is this how you talk to a grieving parent?”
The Internet is happy, and the screenshot of this post has gone viral: on the social network “Threads” alone The post received more than 2,000 likes and dozens of comments.“I’m sure that’s worded correctly,” someone wrote there. And based on Hansa Park’s response: “Wow, is that how you talk to your grieving father?”
On Reddit, there were more than 7,000 likes and more than 100 comments. Comments like “Misunderstanding? What exactly did he not understand?” “Daughter died, food is great” were also very popular.
It is no longer possible to verify whether this exchange between Baran El Nino and Hansa Park actually took place. The comment appears to have been deleted. It is possible that the user has already complied with the park's request.
There are also visitors to other parks who are not always satisfied. This is how the family settled on Hyde Park: “Next year Fantasyland.”
