On Reddit A player complains about an acquaintance who, instead of showing gratitude, was incredibly destructive. He offered the friend a place to sleep. But when the player returned home, his computer was gone and his valuable equipment stolen.

The perpetrator deliberately destroys gaming computers and steals other devices.

What did the man do? On the one hand, the player's gaming chair may have been stolen. But that's no big deal, as the author of the article explains:

• The man forcefully ripped out several capacitors on his computer's motherboard.
• After an initial test and another crash, he discovered that his graphics card was also missing a capacitor. Incidentally, the capacitors were nowhere to be found.
• Only after he replaced the motherboard and graphics card did the computer start up properly again.

Why target capacitors? One user explains that it is difficult to identify broken or damaged capacitors as faults because diagnostic software usually does not recognize such faults. So the crime does not look like a random act, but rather like the perpetrator knew exactly what he was doing.

Another user adds a warning: If a guy knows he can make your life difficult this way, he should also be concerned about potential malware that may have been installed on his computer.

Why was the man allowed into the apartment? The user explained that the man was his roommate's best friend and that was the only reason he was tolerating him. He must have been his best friend now. Because not only did he steal his Xbox Series S, but he also took his ROG Ally with him.

How did it end? The offender confronted the problem and confessed to everything. Then the player called the police and reported the property damage. He himself is still very surprised, because nothing really happened between them: there was no argument or any other reason for such a bad reaction:
