Deadpool wins, ends with us, grosses a whopping $50 million

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have created their own Barbenheimer moment at the box office with their very different films, Deadpool and Wolverine and We end up.

What’s more, this is believed to be the first time in history that a pair of August films has grossed $50 million or more in the same weekend.

Some have suggested that Reynolds and Lively's competing films would be a showdown, but the opposite is true, according to insiders. Reynolds, a marketing guru, and Lively were hoping that the two very different films would lead to a Barbenheimer moment where both films would become top of mind.

Reynolds and Lively have been huge supporters of each other's films, and it may not be entirely a coincidence that they opened their films so close together.
