Celsys announced today, July 30 (Tuesday), in the July 2024 update for its CLIP STUDIO PAINT illustration/manga/webtoon/animation production app that it will introduce new features to enhance the expressiveness of our work. Several functional updates, including the addition and improvements to animation production functions and 3D functions, will be introduced. This update is a feature addition update that allows you to take advantage of new features that will be included in future releases in advance, and can be used by users of annual/monthly/upgrade plans.

◆ Major Updates

In Simple mode, you can now make final adjustments while previewing using effect filters such as color filters, adjustment filters, and opacity. Additionally, you can now extract line drawings directly after loading an image, allowing you to easily import line drawings drawn on paper and color them.

You can now draw shadows from 3D materials onto other 3D materials using 3D layers.

The palette colors selected for layers and cells can now be displayed on clips on the timeline palette.

You can now record your DC3 master content to CLIP STUDIO FORMAT. You can distribute your work to others using services such as CLIP STUDIO MONO, which handles DC3 content, in CLIP STUDIO FORMAT, including its layer structure. The distributed content can be displayed in a custom mode on CLIP STUDIO PAINT, and the work will not be duplicated.
