One gamer reported that his gaming PC was unusable for four days. Then suddenly the system started up again. Thanks to the error message on startup, it quickly became clear where the problem was.
Player Report On RedditHis gaming computer stopped responding for four days and was no longer usable.
But after several days and attempts, his computer starts up again. But instead of the familiar operating system environment, he is presented with a strange image containing a number of error messages. Thanks to the error message, it soon becomes clear that his computer problem must be related to faulty RAM.
Bad RAM causes problems.
What is the problem? Either the main memory (RAM) or the slot on the motherboard is faulty. This is shown by the error messages the player receives when starting his computer: Several Warning
-The evidence points to one. Memory failure
any RAM error.
Faulty RAM usually prevents your computer from starting up properly or booting up at all.
What can the user do? Since the problem seems to be caused by the memory or slot, he can do the following:
- He has to remove all the built-in RAM and insert each RAM stick one by one. This way he can tell which stick is finished.
- During the test, he has to test each slot on the motherboard individually. Because it may not be the RAM that is damaged, but the slot on the motherboard.
- If the memory strip is missing, the player must replace the RAM. At best, he buys a suitable kit, as the kit usually works better together than if you combine different manufacturers and modules.
- If the problem persists with the new RAM, it is recommended to reset the CMOS/BIOS to clear possible errors in the memory. This is usually done by removing the battery on the motherboard for several minutes and then reinserting it.
- If one of the slots is faulty, the user must either replace the motherboard or try not to use the slot. This is annoying and is an emergency solution if the motherboard provides four slots but you only need two of them.
Replacement or replacement costs vary accordingly: new RAM is usually cheaper than having to replace the motherboard.
More about dying computers: For another player, the computer dies after just 20 minutes. And that's just because he makes an annoying mistake he could have avoided. His ex-girlfriend, who wants to get back at him, isn't entirely innocent: the gaming computer always dies after 20 minutes because he makes a really stupid mistake.
