This CD marks the conclusion of a wonderful project. In 2016, Roberto Procida began recording Mozart's complete piano works on his Fazioli grand piano. It is not an even temperament as usual, but rather tuned to the specifications of Mozart's contemporary Francesco Vallotti, resulting in a clear differentiation of the main characteristics and an increased intensity of dissonance. But this is not the only thing that contributes to fundamentally casting doubt on the widespread image of Mozart's piano music, which is characterized by a compromise of playing splendor: as in the recordings of the sonatas already published, the art of Procida's piano differentiation once again lays down surprising layers of… Depth in these masterful solo pieces by the late Mozart. Procida follows the character of each piece, meticulously carrying out all enunciation instructions and maintaining an open, sometimes almost improvisational, musical style. Register with reference status.
