It's possible that Valve is working on a new game and the rumors about “Citadel” are already relatively old. At the time, the game was still going forward as a new Half-Life game for the Steam Deck, but the developers' next game had nothing to do with the brand.
Since yesterday, the first details about Valve's “Deadlock” have appeared online, and there are now also some screenshots. It is a third-person shooter game where 12 players compete against each other online.
It's a shame, I was hoping the old rumors were true and Valve would release a good single player game again. After Half-Life Alyx for the VR world, I really wanted a Half-Life for the mobile world perfectly designed for the Steam Deck. But such a title might be a bit more lucrative.
Valve itself hasn't commented on Deadlock yet, but May and June are popular months for game announcements and may do so very soon.
