Netflix no longer wants to focus solely on streaming and gaming. Instead, a completely different line of work must now open.
Streaming giant Netflix plans to take the success of its films and series to a new level by creating so-called “Netflix Houses.” In these special locations, fans will not only be able to purchase merchandise, but will also be able to enjoy meals inspired by the platform’s content. The initiative was announced to Bloomberg by Josh Simon, CEO at Netflix. The first two Netflix Houses are scheduled to be built in 2025 in the United States, with international expansion planned after that.
The plans allow viewers to immerse themselves in the worlds of Netflix’s fascinating shows. This isn’t the first time Netflix has invested in physical experiences and pop-up stores. The company has previously created limited-time experiences and stores in various cities, including events centered around the popular series “Stranger Things.” For example, starting in early December, there will be competitions in Los Angeles based on the “Squid Game” series. “Netflix House,” on the other hand, aims to be a permanent location with changing exhibits.

The idea behind these sites is to give viewers a deeper immersion into the world of Netflix. Not only do they have access to a world of products, but they can also enjoy special meals inspired by the platform’s content. This project is another step taken by Netflix to expand its brand and offerings and delight fans in physical settings.
The streaming service is evolving and moving beyond the purely digital experience to create a deeper connection with its viewers. Through “Netflix Houses,” the company aims to enrich its users’ experiences and create a place where they can delve deeper into the stories and worlds they love.
