Gigabyte is a diversified manufacturer that also offers a wide range of video players under the Aorus brand. Laptops, monitors and peripherals are available. At Gamescom 2023, the manufacturer introduced its own line of products and invited users to try it out. With the Aorus M6, the manufacturer is also showing off a powerful gaming mouse that was introduced recently.
The Aorus M6 is equipped with a Pixart 3395 optical sensor, which can be triggered with sensitivities from 50 to 26,000 dpi – the default levels are 800, 1600, 3200 and 6400 dpi, as the dpi behind the mouse wheel varies It should be particularly easy to switch between individual stages. The Aorus M6 is also equipped with a calibrator, with which the different structures of different mouse pads must be taken into account.
Data is transmitted over a 2.4GHz connection, which is said to result in a latency of just 1 millisecond. This should allow players to retain optimum control at all times, including in competitive shooters, for example. The keyboard is 74g with RGB lighting. It can be used on both left and right sides as the Aorus M6 is symmetrical.
There are two buttons on each side, and the Omron key switches are said to have a lifespan of 50 million clicks. Battery life is stated to be up to 74 hours, charging via USB Type-C cable. Mouse not yet available, pricing info not yet available.
I’ve been a journalist for over ten years, mostly in the technology field. I’ve worked at Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and since 2017 I’ve also worked at Notebookcheck. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single board computers like the Raspberry Pi – i.e. embedded systems with many capabilities. In addition, there is a weak point for all kinds of wearable devices, especially smart watches. I work full time as a laboratory engineer, which is why I’m not far from scientific connections or complex measurement interpretation.
