Lubeck. Since Monday, 60 students and young professionals from four countries have been dealing with the intersection of art and technology at the XArts workshop at TH Lübeck. The workshop will conclude with two public events: On Thursday 23 March, at 7.30 pm, a concert will take place at the TH Bauforum (Building 15 on Mönkhofer Weg). The German-French classical house orchestra can be heard conducted by the French jazz musician Pierre Bertrand. The organizers promise a special interaction of music, dance and digital visualizations. On Friday, March 24, from 11 am to 2 pm, the participants will present the results of the workshops in the Petrikirche. Entry to both events is free.

Connecting media, music and art
The workshop, in which TH works with several colleges of music, is aimed at potential professionals in the fields of arts and event management. “It’s about making musical experiences more intense for the audience,” explains Isabella Baer, Professor of Design at TH Lubeck and Head of the Workshop. This is important, among other things, for displaying and marketing art. “Students desire more artistic knowledge and skills in the field of cross-arts, that is, the connection between media, music, and art.” Other important areas are new technologies, marketing and public relations, as well as copyright.
For Thursday’s final concert, Baer promised that the audience would be “plunged into another reality” through the music and the immersive projections you interact with.
“Certified tv guru. Reader. Professional writer. Avid introvert. Extreme pop culture buff.”
