Samsung and Natural Cycles° have announced their partnership to offer advanced temperature-based menstrual cycle tracking Galaxy Watch5 series to provide. This is the first time that the Natural Cycles algorithm has been adapted for a smartwatch. The partnership combines Samsung’s sensor technology with the innovative technology of Natural Cycles to give users a more detailed view of their menstrual cycle.
Galaxy Watch5 users can access advanced lap tracking thanks to collaboration via lap tracking.
“We are excited to partner with Samsung. Together, we are working on providing a feature that allows people to monitor their own cycles.” Raoul Schirwitzl, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Natural Cycles°. “This collaboration allows Samsung to offer temperature-based cycle tracking via a smartwatch for the first time.”
Natural Cycles° has developed an app that is controlled by an independent algorithm. Body temperature and other key fertility indicators are used to determine the individual fertility status of users. Natural Cycles° uses its own technology and algorithm to power the Galaxy Watch5 series cycle tracking feature.
Samsung heralds its next era with its sensor technology. The new temperature sensor allows users to get a detailed overview of their cycle by tracking skin temperature as well as the menstrual cycle. The temperature sensor uses infrared technology to provide accurate readings, even with movement during sleep or changes in ambient temperature. Since all data is encrypted and stored on the user’s own device, they are in control of their data.
“Users can easily track their menstrual cycle right on their wrist by combining Natural Cycles° technology with Samsung’s temperature sensor. This gives them a comprehensive understanding of their cycle,” said Hon Pak, Vice President and Head of Digital Health Team, Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics. This partnership once again demonstrates Samsung’s willingness to work with other companies.”
