As Sony pioneers the PlayStation Plus subscription revolution, Microsoft has announced a collaboration between Xbox and the French Football Federation (FFF). The brand thus becomes the official and global gaming partner of the women’s and men’s national teams of Equipe Tricolore.
In the statement, Microsoft emphasizes the similarities: “The French Football Federation is a wonderful organization that has demonstrated the same will and ambition as Xbox in bringing fans and gamers together with a shared passion while respecting their differences.”
Xbox “as a world-renowned and innovative brand”
Francois Vasseur, Director of Marketing and Business Development at the French Football Federation, emphasized Xbox’s position as a “world-renowned and innovative brand”. It shares these core values such as “diversity and inclusion as well as gaming and accessibility in general”.
To underscore these words, the first two measures have already been announced for the remainder of 2022. At “Xbox FC”, amateur clubs will be equipped with “redesigned facilities, special game labs and new Xbox and FFF” along with PSG player Sakina Kerchaoui .
On “Xbox Day” on May 21, Xbox and FFF will feature a “behind-the-scenes look at Clairefontaine, the FFF eCup final, workshops, and game tournaments in the stadium.” The event will be accompanied by Karchaoui’s Paris Saint-Germain colleague Kadidato Diani and instrumentalist Domingo. Incidentally, Xbox also announced a similar collaboration with the English Football Association in August 2021.
