After lengthy discussions, the federal government and German mobile operators have agreed to a blanket exclusion of Chinese 5G technology. Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) announced in Berlin that the settlement was in the form of a public law contract to avoid potential claims for damages.
Service providers are still allowed to use simple Huawei and ZTE components (Image: dpa).
