With the video gaining more relevance in social networks, LinkedIn does not want to be left out and will integrate the possibility of creating videos from the mobile application itself. The year runs well for LinkedIn, the social network focused on the business world, which reached in April the 500 million users and now is ready to follow a business model that has been very popular and well received in the Remaining networks: the video.
Yes, you could share external video service links and upload files that were in your smartphone storage, but the idea is different. As already announced, the bet in this area was already being talked about and is now in the testing phase and it is hoped that users will soon be able to start recording and sharing videos directly in the LinkedIn application.
At the moment only a few users have access to the new functionality but the idea is to integrate it into any device with the LinkedIn mobile application.
The introduction of the video on LinkedIn will not create major changes in the application. Next to the place where we can write the publications and load any type of file will now appear a small camcorder that serves, precisely, to open the camera and start recording the moment.
The social network recommends that the functionality be used, for example, to create videos of tricks that serve to increase productivity, to show how a given conference has run, to convey a message in a simpler and more appealing, finally … to call the attention of the users.
“Some stories are better shown than told. Video allows you to stir up emotions, transport viewers, teach something or share some incredible insights when words and pictures alone are not enough,” explained LinkedIn. “We cannot wait to see how you use this new way of telling your stories on LinkedIn.”
