A few hours ago Xiaomi published in its official profile on Chinese social network Weibo a teaser that indicates the arrival of a new smartphone for the next week.
The video, which is 13 seconds long, shows nothing more than simple texts (in Chinese, moreover), which in a free translation, ask the users and fans of the brand ‘what makes up the perfect’ smartphone.
Among several features mentioned we have the presence of a Snapdragon 8XX processor (835 or even the 836, if lucky), DDR4 RAM, UFS memory, 4000 mAh battery, 3D glass, 22 megapixel camera, NFC, 4G, USB Type -C and infrared.
The brief teaser (which can be checked here) ends up announcing the date of the next device, July 11, proving rumors that a new device for the ‘Mi’ series would arrive later this month.
It may be that until then, the manufacturer post another teaser, further increasing the hype around this new release.
According to recent rumors, it may be that this model is about the long awaited Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus , which should have been introduced shortly after the Mi 6 (released in April), but until then, has not yet officially – Although it did lead to some leaks ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ).
After rumors that Xiaomi would have ruled out the Mi 6 Plus to focus only on a top of the line, it may be that next week, the ad will show us otherwise. It’s wait and see!
Earlier this week, Xiaomi said it is working on a fully integrated interface with the new version of Google’s operating system. One of the company’s executives took advantage of the hype to release the first photo.
In it, the interface looks similar to MIUI 8, so expect large changes only in the technical part of the virtual environment. In fact, the company promises to embed functions seen only on Android.
It will be possible to switch between various themes available in Xiaomi’s virtual store, so keep in mind that the above appearance is one of several. In addition, expect the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Split Screen features included in Android OS.
