Great news for owners of Moto M, the Motorola offering which sits between Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z Play: Android 7.0 Nougat has finally arrived for the device. If you have, by chance, chosen to import this smartphone, make sure that the update will arrive in OTA soon – if it has not already arrived.

Moto M was restricted to the Eastern market, and made a tremendous success there. A report published in March pointed out that three million units of the device were sold in all countries where it is marketed, such as China and the United Arab Emirates.

For those who do not remember, this is a Motorola smartphone that comes equipped with the MediaTek MT6755, popularly known as Helio P15, an octa-core that in this case has four cores with 2.2GHz clock and another four at 1.0GHz. It even has 4GB of RAM (more than the Moto Z Play) and 32GB of internal storage.

Since we are reviewing specifications, let’s remind what else it has. Super AMOLED 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution, 16MP mainframe and 8MP front and 3050mAh battery. A very interesting device, a pity that did not reach the western market.

On Android Nougat landing on this handset, of course all the native features also go along, like the Doze function, which saves battery power by shutting down background apps that have been inactive for a long time, splitting the screen to use two apps simultaneously and emojis Unicode 9.

The update for Android 7.0 Nougat also includes the Google video call app, the Duo.

The Motorola launched in early November, the smartphone Moto M, which became the company’s intermediary in several Asian countries. It has interesting specifications and the design is different from that seen in other smartphones of the company as the Moto G5 and Moto Z, for example, as it has the fingerprint reader on the back. Now, it looks like Motorola’s strategy worked out, as a report indicates sales success.

A mysterious report released overseas disclosed that Motorola had managed to sell three million units of Moto M in all countries where it is marketed, such as China and the United Arab Emirates. The report was not confirmed, but it was a very expressive number, even more considering that it was conquered in five months of sales.
